FC Köln Draws 1-1 Against FC Augsburg; Modeste Scores and Equalizes

On Saturday, FC Köln played host to FC Augsburg in a Bundesliga match at the RheinEnergieStadion. The match was a close affair, with both teams creating chances throughout the game but failing to find the back of the net.

In the 82nd minute, substitute Gudmundsson found himself one-on-one with Augsburg goalkeeper Schmeichel, but he missed the target and the ball fell to Modeste, who was waiting for it. With no one marking him, Modeste finished off the chance to level the scoreline and send the match into extra time.

After extra time, neither team could break the deadlock, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Both teams will be disappointed not to have taken all three points, but both also know that there is still plenty of football left to play.
